The “fix” is to open the PDF with a proper PDF client, such as Adobe Acrobat. The document you are trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher. When you received a fancy PDF (often from the Canadian Government for us … blurgh), if you simply click to open it, your ‘default’ client for PDF might be your browser … and it can’t open the fancier attributes of the file. This comes up a lot lately, particularly as more and more folks switch to browser based email clients (like Gmail and Outlook on the Web).
